Light Over the Horizon

Swirls of blue meander across the Pacific
Kissing the horizon at the South China Sea
Where I await
A wave dances slowly towards the shore
So slowly as if time stood still
And whispers of your name as it arrives at shore oh
so gently
And when it arrives, it gently caresses my face
As though it’s travelled from the breath
you breathe
And it crystallises as speckles of salt just
below my eyelashes
And I close my eyes
And I feel a tear drop
And I taste you
Like how I imagine you
And I open my eyes
And see a blue light over the horizon
And I have arrived
